Environmental problems have become big issues today. We would like to appeal rich water environments of Sagami Lake by holding a contemporary Open Air Art Exhibition. Here the theme is water. The site of this exhibition is located at the northern part of Sagamihara city which surrounds an important source of water supply, [Lake Sagami]. We want to take the opportunity to think about social problems which are close to our daily life to art appreciators and to the residents of Sagamihara. We intend to do this by showing art works which feature images inspired from water. We will also be offering art workshops run by some of the participating artists. Moreover, we have also invited artists from the overseas and let’ s share the universal issue “Thinking of for our Environments on a Global Scale”. We want to send the message beyond Japan to the World from Sagamihara.
